If you have combination dark skin like me. The struggle is real to find the most suitable foundation for you. Most of the time we need at least 2 different foundations because our skin needs vary based on hormones, emotions, seasons, of course age. Furthermore, it is very seldom that dark skin only has one solid color all over the face.
Here is my top 3
Bronze medal :
The bronze price goes to Estée Lauder Double wear foundation. I would recommend to wear this during autumn to winter time as it is full coverage. If you like the ” mat full face” make up type this one is for you. If you have discolorations, hyper pigmentation that you would like to cover up then it will work.
However you need to be quick while applying and before blending it out , as it dries out quickly on your skin. A great tip is to apply some serum ( Estée Lauder Night Repair Serum MY HERO PRODUCT ; Ren Young & beautiful beauty shot serum)
Price retail : 47,50 €
I am giving the silver medal to Lancôme teint idole ultra wear. What I like the most about this foundation, is that its high coverage but it does not leave a cakey effect on your face. You may not even need a primer or a serum to properly blend it if your skin has been freshly washed and conditioned ( even if I would always recommend a serum for a smoother, more bendable and easier application) It has a mat , velvet, luminous finish that will make your skin looks flawless for 24h.
Retail price : 46, €
The price goes to Make Up Forever , Ultra HD foundation. I used to, neglect this professional make-up brand, little did I know. This foundation is for the ones that enjoy
If you have sensitive skin, please do a patch test on one area of your face and see how it reacts. Some great foundation may react on one particular area of your face. For example, my cheeks tend to react the most to products.
